Within Pakistan there are many common problems within schools, this includes not having proper training facilities, small termed training period, lack of in-service training for teachers, and other issues. Throughout Pakistan's educational system, there is a gender disparity between males and females. In fact, according to the 2016 Global Gender Gap Report, Pakistan was ranked the second worst country in the world regarding gender inequality. Advanced Placement is an alternative option but much less common than GCE or IGCSE. Another survey in Mirpurkhas, Tando Muhammad Khan and Tando Allah Yar has also been completed regarding operationalization of viable closed Schools. Secretary SE&LD was further informed that over 200 dysfunctional school buildings have already been operationalised by SEF in different districts.
